Why ordering small quantities of boxes can be less profitable.
We understand that you appreciate flexibility when placing orders. Nevertheless, we would like to explain why ordering smaller numbers of boxes is often less advantageous than it seems.
1. Hight transport cost per unit
With smaller orders, transport costs are relatively high because they often do not decrease proportionally with the number of boxes. Whether we transport one or several boxes, the basic logistics costs remain largely the same. As a result, the cost per box increases significantly with smaller quantities.
2. Efficiancy in orderpicking
Order picking costs depend on the number of orders processed, not on the volume of the order. Whether we pick 10 or 100 boxes, the time and resources needed to process an order remain similar. For smaller orders, this means a higher cost per box, which has a direct impact on your costs.
3. Scale advantages
With larger orders, we can work more efficiently and benefit from economies of scale. This leads to lower unit costs, which we are happy to pass on to you in the form of competitive prices. Unfortunately, we cannot offer these advantages with small quantities..
So by opting for larger quantities, you get the most out of your investment. You not only save on transport and order picking costs, but also optimise the price-quality ratio of your purchase.
